Day 4. Carpet maintenance cleaning e cource

Thank you for staying the course, I appreciate it. But today, we are going to look at something which can save you a lot of money. I think that now, you will know how important it is to clean your carpets. But I also think that, you realise how much easier and better it is to use this Carpet Maintenance System. Not only, in this e course will you save money, but also, if and when you extraction clean your carpets or your upholstery, you will be saving every time on machine hire.That is my aim in this session. I want you to save money every time you hire a machine from your local tool hire shop. How do you do it? well, it’s very simple. Here’s how;
You must make yourself known to the hire shop. Each time you go in there for a machine, or anything else in fact, then you are making yourself known to the shop. Once they see that you are a regular customer, then you will be onto a winner. But don’t rush it, give it a bit of time. Simply just frequent the shop and make sure that you or the person hiring is the person they see most often at the hire shop.I want to tell you as well about a second way for you to save money at the hire shop. My guess is that once you use this Carpet Maintenance System on your carpets, people you know will be interested too. You will have a large list of work colleagues, neighbours, friends, family members. All of these people will have carpets no doubt.

After you have used the Carpet Maintenance System, then you will know how good it is, how easy it is to use. And the people you know, will no doubt want it too. So, there’s two things you can do here to save money. First off, when someone you know wants to try the Carpet Maintenance System, arrange it with them to hire a machine when you want to hire too. If three or four of the people you know can get together as a group, then machine hiring costs much less.

You may want to hire for two or three or more days. That way, you get the machines for less. You split the cost with everyone who wants to hire. And believe me, they will continue to use the Carpet Maintenance System regularly once they see how well it works.

Going right back to the start of this session, I said to you, not to rush this. Give it a while so that the hire shop staff will get to know you.

Always try to be the person who hires the machine from the same shop. Then, after a few times hiring, probably about 4-5 times, simply just ask for a discount. You will save money in two ways. You get up to 30% off the hire price from the shop. You also save additional funds, because if there are two or more of you hiring at the same time, you cut your costs dramatically. Here’s some figures to show you the numbers;

Just you hiring every 4-8 weeks, with zero discount, your hire charges may be something like this.

2 people hiring on the same day (you and a friend) 1 full day 24 hours hire approx £33 minus 50% for the shared cost = just £16.50 each, you save £8.50 on just one hire arrangement. Over a few months this £8.50 increases every time you hire. Hire 5 times and your savings are £42.50.

That’s just one way to bring down your machine hire costs. You can also make a charge for renting out your tools and your solutions. Hence you make some extra money on that too. Just charge what you think, It will probably vary depending on your relationship you have with the other person. But charging $12-£15 for renting out your tools and solutions is a very fair price.

Don’t forget, the more people you can get into your group, the more you will save.

The second money saving option is what I said before about your machine hire discounts. Don’t ask for it right away, particularly your first couple of times hiring. Let the shop see you at least 4-5 times before asking them for your discount. They will feel more obliged to let you have it if they are sure you are a good customer and will remain so. At first they may offer you 10%, but the reason why I suggested you wait a while before you ask, is to prove to the shop that you are serious about hiring their equipment. Once they know that you are a serious customer and that you will be hiring regularly, then ask for more. If they offer you 10%, respond by reminding them that you will be hiring regularly and often. Then ask for a bigger discount. Aim for 30%. If you get 30%, then that’s usually the max. They won’t go over 30%. So, play it clever and know that they do offer their best customers this 30% discount.

I don’t like to say this, but if you feel like your barking up the wrong tree with regards getting a good discount. If you feel that you wont get it for any reason, then consider finding another hire shop. I promise you, these shops do give up to 30% off. If you fail, then try again in another local shop. It’s well worth trying for.

30% off means that over the year you could be saving a lot of money. So do try and if you fail, then try somewhere else until you get your discount. Were looking at this hire arrangement over the long term. You could well be using the same shop for many years. 30% over the long term represents a lot of money, so go for it.

Remember too, you want a slow speed buffer machine or at the fastest, a standard speed will do. You want your velrco disc and of course you want you micro fibre buffing pads x 2 or 3. The hire shop will have the machine and the velcro disc. You must buy the micro fibre pads yourself from your local cleaning supplies store.

That’s me done now for this session. But please do take what I said in this session seriously. You can save a lot of money. But remember, don’t be too hasty about it. Play it by ear for a while, then ask for your discount.

Get a few people in with you. I’m certain that the people you know will love the Carpet Maintenance System too. So get them on board and make even more savings by hiring as a group for longer periods of time. Rent out your tools and solutions and charge what ever you think is fair. You do not want to rent your tools and solutions without at least covering your costs. Tell your people this and they will respect the fact that you have paid for your tools and solutions and that you will have to pay again if and when you want more. Just charge what you feel is fair.
