carpet maintenance cleaning e course day 5

Subject: Day 5. Carpet maintenance e course

Hi again
Today I will show you how to clean your home carpets without having to do too much moving furniture. This is a very simple process which will speed your carpet maintenance cleaning sessions up significantly.
The first thing you must do, is vacuum clean your carpets. But unlike the thorough cleaning of a full blown soil extraction carpet cleaning, we will be concentrating on cleaning only your main areas. Seating areas and walkways are all we need to focus on. Clean with this very system regularly and often. How it works is, first, you must vacuum clean your carpets which you want to clean. Simply just keep all of your large furniture items in place, Dining room table, settee, chairs ext. Any small items like for instance your coffee table or any other small items that you can move easily, then do.After you’ve vacuum cleaned all of the rooms which you want to buff clean, then bring in your buffer machine, your velcro disk and your micro fibre pads and pressure sprayer. Have 5 litres of warm rinse solution in a bucket. Rinse your buffing pads through in the solution and ring them out until damp. Just prepare your buffing pads in the rinse solution as you need them. Have your buff cleaning solution in the pressure sprayer at the ready. For this faster cleaning process, we are going to buff clean only your main areas. We do not move furniture about, we simply clean around it.Remember, you must have each room prepared for a quick buff over with the machine. You want a clear run through from start to finish. You don’t need to stop and start. Once your cleaning, just keep buffing and spraying. Turn your buffer pad over and replace it with a fresh one occasionally until the job is complete. You can do rugs as well while your cleaning. But do remember, we are aiming for a start to finish buff cleaning without stopping, that way you get the job done fast.

If you have a couple of stains or spots, you can treat them before you start your buff cleaning. Simply have a mix of multi purpose pre-spray solution in a small 1 litre hand sprayer. Spray onto the stains and rock your hand brush around the outside edges working in to centre to remove unwanted spots and stains.

Once you’ve done this type of carpet maintenance cleaning, you’ll become more proficient at doing it. Usually your first time is much slower, but after a couple of times buff cleaning, you will improve. You’ll find it takes less time and your cleaning results improve once you get used to this system.

When you hire a slow or standard speed buffer machine, you can return it same day. You can book it out for a morning or an afternoon. But do give yourself a bit of time in order to get your carpet maintenance cleaning up to a good standard. You’ll see, it just takes an hour or two depending on how many rooms you want to clean.

Always remember to open a couple of windows to let the moisture in your rooms disperse. Lastly, if you have a carpet pile brush, then set your carpet pile raised after your done. You do this in order to raise the pile for drying. You simply brush the pile to raise the fibres.
That is how you speed up the carpet maintenance cleaning system. The idea is to have everything ready for a complete start to finish cleaning. No stopping! You can do 4-6 rooms in no time. But build up your speed gradually. Don’t try to do this quickly without first learning how. Start off slow, get some confidence, then gradually increase your speed.
That’s me done for this short session. Just to re-cap. We buff clean from start to finish without stopping. We clean around furniture. Remember to vacuum clean first. Lastly, increase your speed gradually after you gain some confidence.
